:::Black Friday:::

November 27, 2009

Yes, you read it right!  I’m having my own little Black Friday special as a very big thank you to my clients who have made this such a phenomenal first half year in business.  Through Sunday only I’m offering 50% off of one gallery wrap canvas size 16×20 and bigger.  Email me at lindsay@lindsayhorn.com if you are interested.  It’s okay if you aren’t sure of the picture number, I can help make sure you order the right one.  This special is only open to existing clients, and orders must be placed by Sunday!  I hope that everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving, and of course, I won’t leave you without a picture!

Oh my goodness, could these two be any cuter?  These are two of the sweetest little boys I have ever had the privilege of photographing.  Not only were they very well-behaved, but they were so sweet with each other.  We had so much fun wandering all over the Grapevine Train Depot.  From trains to racing to tickling, we sure stayed busy!  Busy enough for them both to last a whole hour and a half without getting annoyed with me! :)   However, they both assured me at the end that I didn’t wear them out.  Thanks Mom and Dad for entrusting me with your precious kiddos!  Happy Thanksgiving!

Amy {Senior Portraits}

November 23, 2009

This was a really fun shoot for me for several reasons.  First, Amy (and her mom) were so much fun!  Amy was so cheerful and easygoing, and I really think it shined through in her pictures.  We also had some good laughs – I know Mom will be pleased! :)   Second, we went to down to Highland Park for the session to a place I had never shot at before, which is always fun.  I really try to give all of my clients a unique experience, and part of that is mixing up locations and picking places tailored specifically for them and their needs.  Lastly, this was my first session using my new equipment, including my sweet new camera!  Oh, I am so in love. :P   Thanks Amy for “experimenting” with me, I had an absolute blast!  Enjoy your sneak peek!

Jenna {Senior Portraits}

November 21, 2009

Last weekend I met up with the very sweet and beautiful Jenna for a little mini session before all of these gorgeous fall colors are gone for good.  I had such a great time!  I’ve been so blessed lately with some totally awesome senior girls, and Jenna was no exception.  The weather was just perfect, and Jenna was very laid back and up for anything – she made it all too easy.  And she was totally nailing the “serious” face!  I’m so jealous, I never was able to pull that off.  Enjoy your sneak peek!  :)

I was so excited when Charlotte and Sarah asked me to do their senior pictures.  I have known these two amazing girls since they were born!!!  That made this shoot really special for me.  While I’m not all that much older than them, I think I can say with certainty that they have grown into such beautiful young women inside and out.  And yes, they are twins. :)   We had such a great time at two locations – Watters Creek shopping center in Allen and an outdoors spot in Richardson.  This was my first time to shoot at Watters Creek, and it was a great location!  It had so many great colors and textures to play with.  And, I was soooo excited to use the big red chair!  My mom found it at an estate sale, and I’ve just been itching to use it at a shoot.  Thanks ladies for a wonderful session, and enjoy your preview! :)

You may recognize these super cute kiddos from their previous session over the summer.  This time I got to photograph the whole fam, and oh, we had fun!  :)   They ran down a “mountain”, threw leaves in the air (see post below), attacked Mom and Dad with kisses, and laughed and giggled the whole way.  Thanks to Nana’s antics behind the scenes, I hardly had a shot without smiles.  Mom did a great job with their outfits too – aren’t they adorable?  As always, you guys made it way too fun and way too easy.  Enjoy!

Shelby {2010 Senior}

November 5, 2009

Well, I couldn’t have asked for a better shoot with Shelby on Monday … perfect light, perfect weather, gorgeous fall colors, and a very sweet and “up for anything” subject!  We did a combination of headshots and senior pictures, and we got both some “Mom-pleasers” (I saw that on another blog and thought it was hilarious) and some shots with a little more attitude.  And my goodness, aren’t her eyes just to die for?!?  They just looked stunning against all of the pretty reds and oranges.  Thanks for making it too easy Shelby, and hopefully we’ll get to do round 2 when the bluebonnetts come around!  :)

I am in LOVE with this last one!

Last weekend I was able to take advantage of the absolutely gorgeous weather and photograph a beautiful mother and daughter.  They agreed to start early, and we were rewarded with some awesome lighting.  Scarlett just loved having her picture taken – when we had to pack up and drive a litte bit further into the park, she got so sad because she thought we were done!  She made for a stunning subject, and you can see where she got her good looks!  :)   She loved to snuggle up with her momma too, those are some of my favorite images ever.  What a sweetie!  I had such a great time getting to know you two better, and thanks for putting up for the early morning chill and dew – it was totally worth it.  Enjoy your sneak peek!
