First, let me just say that I’m completely humbled and blown away by the amazingly kind and gracious things that were said in your reviews. I’m not sure if it’s the pregnancy or just me, but reading them brought tears to my eyes. After all of the time and energy spent planning your sessions, spending time with you, and staring at your beautiful faces for hours while I edit, it means so much to hear that the experience itself was as meaningful for you as it always is for me. You guys are the greatest! Just another fabulous reminder that I have the best job on the planet, and that I’m blessed to work with such wonderful people.

So, now for the fun part! We had 12 total participants, so I drew two names from a hat (literally!) where I had put in an entry for every review left on either site. And the winners are ….

Birthday Week Giveaway! {For Past Clients Only}

Yes, I said birthday week! That’s how we do things around here. Okay, maybe not, but a girl can dream, right? My birthday is on Tuesday, when I will officially be even later into my twenties (but still hanging on). So, to celebrate my birthday week I wanted to have a little mutually beneficial giveaway for my past clients (wink, wink)! There are two ways to enter:

1) Go to my Facebook Page and leave a review under my Reviews tab. You can find the icon under my profile picture or just click here.

2) Go to my Google Business Listing and leave a review there.

Do one or do both to double your chances! Chances for what you ask? Every review posted by Friday night (the 4th) at midnight will be entered into a random drawing for a free gift print from your session (a $45 value)! Even better, if I get more than 10 different clients to post reviews, I’ll pick TWO random winners! I’ll announce the winner(s) on Saturday. My clients always have such kind things to say to me about their images and their overall experience, I’m just hoping you will be willing to share that with others.

That’s My Kid! {Contest}

Oooh, I’m so excited about this! To celebrate my upcoming anniversary, I wanted to do something special to give away something BIG! So, here’s how it works – now it’s your turn to be the photographer! I will be taking photo submissions now through June 15th at midnight. Your entry must be a photo of your kid/kids, regardless of age or species (it’s okay to get a little creative). I will then assemble the submissions into an album on my Facebook page on Saturday June 19th, and voting will begin! In order to vote, you must be a Fan/Like my Facebook page. Then you may “Like” the entry you wish to vote for. Comments are encouraged, but only “Likes” will count as votes! Feel free to recruit voters for your entry any way you can – post it to your Facebook profile, email your friends, tweet away – get creative! Trust me, you will want to do anything you can to win this prize. The winner will receive a complimentary full session, a $150 print credit, and three mini accordion books – all valued at $325! Make sure to read the complete rules below before entering:

Photo Submissions

1) Entries must be emailed to lindsay@lindsayhorn.com. I will send you a reply email confirming your entry.

2) Only one photo per family may be submitted.

3) The photo may be of your child/children of any age or species (yes, furry friends are allowed).

4) Please include the name (first name only if you prefer) of the child/children in your entry to be used in the caption.

5) By submitting an entry, you give Lindsay Horn Photography permission to post the photo on her Facebook page and/or blog, and to use the photo in promoting the contest.

6) Your entry must have been taken by you or a family member – no professional pictures will be accepted.

7) Submissions will be accepted from June 2^nd through June 15^th at midnight.

Voting

1) Voting will run from June 19^th through June 24^th at 10 p.m. CST.

2) To vote for an entry, you must become a fan/like my Facebook page, and then “Like” the entry you would like to vote for. Comments are encouraged, but do NOT count as votes.

3) You may vote for as many entries as you like, but only once per each entry.

4) The winner (the entry with the most votes at the end of the voting period) will be announced on Friday June 25^th.

Prize

1) The grand prize package includes: a complimentary full session, a $150 print credit, and three mini accordion books (all valued at $325).

2) All regular session policies still apply.

3) The print credit may not be used towards press-printed products or digital files.

Newborn Special {For 2010 Arrivals}

If you or someone you know is expecting a little one in 2010, then this is for you! There is nothing more special that you can do for your new arrival than to memorialize that time forever through photographs. That extra-tiny brand new sleepy smiley baby stage is so fleeting, and those early days can be so disorienting for the parents, I think it is so important to capture that moment in time to treasure forever. We had so many troubles early on with my daughter that I didn’t get around to “officially” photographing her until she was one month old, and it just breaks my heart. I would give anything to go back and make sure I had some really good pictures of her in the first couple of weeks! In the hopes that others won’t have that same regret, I’m offering this newborn special. If you book a newborn session (i.e. pay your deposit and pencil in a date based on your due date) before March 15th, you will receive 25 free custom 5×7 flat birth announcements. You can choose from a selection of beautiful templates and then we will customize it to your liking using your favorite images from your session. If you book a Belly & Baby Package or Baby’s First Year Package (which already include free announcements), you will receive a $50 Print Credit (may be applied to prints only). The sessions may take place any time this year – if you are due in 2010, then you are eligible. This would also make a fabulous gift for any expecting parents that you know. The best part about booking a newborn session with me is that I come to you! That’s right, I remember all too well that the last thing I wanted to do with a week old baby was go anywhere. BRAND NEW BLOG! {and a contest}

Yay! You are looking at my long-awaited much-anticipated brand spanking new blog! I’m so excited about it, I can barely contain myself! It ended up being a MUCH more difficult process than I originally thought thanks to some interesting domain/hosting/server issues, but it was well worth the trouble. A few of my favorite new features are: the BIG pictures, a Clients (only) tab where my clients will be able to download all of the necessary paperwork and have access to slideshows of card and product designs and more, a few extra tabs that may help you get to know a little more about me, and the News section that stays at the top so that you won’t miss any important announcements and specials. And don’t even get me started on the design – I love how my colors and backgrounds have all been incorporated to make this feel like it is truly my own. I could not have done that without wonderful Heather of Lovebugs Photography Designs. She customized the entire blog for me AND put up with my perfectionist tendencies and endless questions.
