So I will admit it, I’m a total sucker for photographing redheads. Ryan and her gorgeous red hair looked great pretty much anywhere I put her and in any outfit! Ryan has such a sweet bubbly personality, we had such a great time during her session. She is also pretty talented – she is the captain of the Richardson drill team!  Thanks for a fabulous session Ryan, I know you will have a blast at Mizzou next year!

I was so excited when Chloe booked my styled Exclusively {YOU} experience, she wanted something really different and unique for her senior portraits, and she came to the right place! Stylist Vanessa of Butterfly Sparks Creative and I were drooling over everything in her questionnaire, she gave us so many great concepts to work with. Chloe is a girl who LOVES to travel and she is a budding photographer herself! Throw in her love of all things vintage, and her styled sets turned out fabulous. And it’s no surprise of course, collaborating with Vanessa is always such a treat. Chloe has a great style too, she brought some amazing outfits! And those eyes … goodness. She has the most gorgeous eyes. Thank you for such a fabulous session Chloe, I hope that your photography dreams come true, and good luck at Baylor next year!

I’ve actually gotten to photograph Abby for at least the last couple of years because she is a part of the Pearce Forte singing group. Of course, those crazy shoots are nothing like a regular senior portrait shoot, so I was really looking forward to our session together. I love how together Abby is – when I came over for her consult she had all of her outfits already out and accessorized, ready for me to look over. Now that is my kind of Type A! :) Abby opted for the Uniquely {YOU} experience, so makeup artist Courtney came along with us for some touch-ups and changes to hair and makeup. I absolutely LOVE the different looks she gave Abby, it gave us so much added variety to work with! Abby was such a natural in front of the camera, and it really shows in her images. Thanks for a great session Abby, and I wish you the best for the rest of senior year!

Autumn’s session was so much FUN. Not only did she bring along two of her friends (and my senior models) Haley and Rachel for moral support, but she just cracks me up. She told me that she was super-awkward in pictures, but I’m just not seeing it. :P We split our time between a woodsy spot and a more urban/country look in downtown McKinney, and everything just came together perfectly.  I’m also completely jealous of her gorgeous thick hair – I wish mine looked that good straight! Enjoy the rest of senior year Autumn, I’m so glad our paths crossed!

Haley and Rachel are two of my 2014 Senior Models, and it has been a great pleasure to get to know them over the past 9 months or so. They are both beautiful inside and out, and I love seeing how much they love each other too. :) They had already been in front of my camera a couple of times by the time we got to their actual senior session, so they were ready to go!  We shot on their beautiful property out in Argyle and was it ever a photographer’s dream! It was such a fun shoot – we even got their horses in a few shots too!  These two are headed to Texas Tech to room together in the fall (watch out Lubbock!), and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. I’m so grateful that you two found me during during my model search, it has been such a pleasure to work together. I hope that the rest of senior year is everything you hoped it would be!

Well, with the freezing temperatures outside today, now is as good a time as any to get back on board with my blogging and catch up on my warm summer/fall sessions. :) It was pretty hot on the day of Drew’s session, but he followed me all over one of my favorite nature areas without complaint. It was fun incorporating his baseball gear too, it seems like I have worked with quite a few baseball and softball players over the last year or two! Drew’s country style was a great fit for this spot, and I love that he brought his cowboy hat along too. Thanks for a great session Drew, and I wish you the best for the rest of senior year!

In August I had the pleasure of hosting the first ever DFW Senior Shootout along with fellow photographers Jared Rey and Misti Davis. We had over 20 photographers come out to the beautiful 3825 South Bowen property to photograph six gorgeous seniors who graciously agreed to model for us. It was an absolute blast – I got to meet a lot of new photog friends and photograph some beautiful seniors, who could ask for more! And a big thanks to two of my own senior models Haley and Rachel who volunteered to model. It sure was hot, but we had some fun! :)

I could not have asked for a better start to my Class of 2014 senior portrait season than I got with Erin. We shot her session in the lovely heat of late July, but she was a trooper and looked FABULOUS the whole time thanks to the talented Amanda with Reflections DFW. Erin is very outdoorsy (she’s a camp counselor for Sky Ranch) and loves all things outside, so we went to one of my favorite natural spots for a variety of great backdrops. Erin did a fabulous job with her wardrobe, and I love the fact that we captured some different facets of her personality through her shoes – one of my favorite “prop shots” to date for sure! :) With that thick dark hair and those gorgeous eyes Erin was  a dream to photograph. I hope that your senior year is awesome Erin, thanks for letting me be a very small part of it!

Vicky was my last 2013 senior, and I couldn’t have wrapped up this year’s class on a better note! Vicky was so excited about her portrait session, I just love it when my clients are super enthusiastic. :) She had a gorgeous wardrobe to work with, and the Arts District was the perfect backdrop for the more modern look we were going for. We ended up with an absolutely perfect weather day, which made it all the more fun. Vicky is also an aspiring photographer and very involved in her church.  She is headed to Georgetown in the fall, have a fabulous freshman year Vicky!

Tori was a referral from another one of my dear 2013 seniors, and I’m so excited that they found me!  Tori’s mom really wanted something special for her senior portraits, and I’m so honored that she entrusted me with this important task.  They opted for my Uniquely {YOU} Experience, which meant that makeup artist Amanda got to come along on site with us to change up Tori’s look as we went along and touch up as needed.  So fun!  Tori and her mom were so excited about her upcoming session when we met at the consultation, I knew that I would be in for a treat.  :)  They were open to any and all of my suggestions and even let me pick through Tori’s closet to help put together outfit ideas.  When the day of the session rolled around, Tori was a breeze to photograph, she was an absolute natural in front of the camera.  We spent almost three hours hustling all over one of my favorite outdoorsy spots, and she kept a smile on her face the whole time!  Well, except when I told her not to. :P Tori is a cheerleader and volleyball player and an all-around sweet girl, and I can’t wait to see what great things are awaiting her. Best of luck Tori!
