I really enjoyed spending last Saturday afternoon with Gray in one of my favorite “winter” locations.  Gray is a fellow soccer player and an Office watcher, so we had plenty to talk about!  :)   I love this spot, because even in the dead of winter, it has some lovely green areas to be found as well as some other cool natural backdrops.  I know Gray isn’t crazy about his “serious” look, but I’m glad he was willing to indulge me – I think he totally owns that one!  Thanks for being such a trooper, and enjoy your sneak peek!

I couldn’t have imagined a better way to kick off my 2011 schedule than with photographing Lindsey!  Lindsey found me online back over the summer, so it seemed like this session had been in the works for quite some time.  She really wanted something different for her senior portraits, and I was honored that she trusted me to accomplish that for her.  Speaking of accomplished … Lindsey plays the fiddle, is a fabulous artist {see below}, AND is a natural in front of the camera!  She has such a wonderful presence about her –  you can tell she truly has a heart to serve others.  I really enjoyed the couple of hours we spent together at an awesome new location.  And I really love the fact that she brought so many great accessories and props all on her own to incorporate into the session.  That is what can truly make your session unique!  Thanks again for allowing me to capture these special moments for you Lindsey, and enjoy your sneak peek!

I had a wonderful time with Kendal and her mom last week on a beautiful fall evening.  During Kendal’s consultation I learned that she wants to go into fashion merchandising, so I was really excited to see what she brought to wear, and she did NOT disappoint.  :)   Some fabulous retailer will be lucky to have her one day!  I really love that she took advantage of switching up her accessories too.  I’m not sure if I got them all in the sneak peek, but we did have some shoe and jewelry changes among her different outfits, which I think is great!  Kendal had some great ideas of her own, including bringing her rain boots so we could end the evening in the lake.  Love it!  Kendal has a gorgeous natural smile and an awesome “serious” face too, hence the huge sneak peek.  I hope it was worth the wait!  :)   Thanks for a great session, and enjoy your sneak peek!

Have I mentioned how much I love working with past clients?  :)   I was soooo excited about Jake’s session because I had the opportunity to take his older brother’s senior portraits in the spring as well as their family portraits during my bluebonnet mini sessions in April.  I love working with this family, every time is a treat!  Jake was so great and pretty much up for anything – all the while showing off that awesome smile.  It probably helped that Mom was pulling the old “put devil horns on the photographer” trick behind me for part of the time. :)   The lighting was just stunning this evening, well worth the wait after our initial rainy reschedule.  Thank you so much for allowing me to capture another important milestone for your family, and enjoy your sneak peek!

I can’t wait to share this fabulous session with you – I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better “welcome back” to shooting than working with Paige!  After monsoon-like weather and even a tornado threatened, we decided to meet one day later than we had planned with the hopes that both the humidity and the puddles had dried up.  It ended up being a really nice evening, and everything dried up very nicely.  I have the pleasure of worshipping with Paige and her family at church, so it was extra great to spend some one-on-one time with both Paige and her mom (and dog Molly) and get to know them even better.  Paige picked some awesome outfits – they looked just great against the natural backdrops.  She wasn’t so sure about trying out the “serious” look (most of my clients rarely are), but she totally nailed it.  I just LOVE the fence picture towards the end, something about it just really speaks to me.  Anyways, thanks Paige (and Mom and Molly) for a great session, I really had a blast!  Enjoy your sneak peek!  :)

Chandler is the last (but certainly not least!) of my 2011 Senior Reps. We met up a few weeks ago on a stifling hot evening. Chandler was looking for a really woodsy feel, and when I stumbled upon this gem of a location I knew it would be perfect! It was nice that we got to stay in the shade, but that also meant we were getting no breeze – I’m amazed that Chandler managed to look so fresh the whole time! :) And can I just say that I would kill to have her hair?!? Oh my, the light was just hitting it so perfectly this evening. I also got to use the vintage suitcases I’ve been stockpiling, and I was really pleased with how they came out. Chandler is an amazing singer and performer, and I LOVE that she brought her “faces” of theater for some fun shots. That just goes to show that you don’t have to be an athlete or play a musical instrument to use a cool prop! I really look forward to working with you this year Chandler, enjoy your sneak peek! :)
