I was incredibly honored to photograph this wonderful couple’s engagement session a few weeks ago.  They are officially my “most travelled” clients to date, as they came all the way from D.C. for their engagement session.  Originally, they were heading down here in April so we could take advantage of the Texas bluebonnets (Kathleen is a native Texan), but illness kept them in D.C. and we missed bluebonnet season.  However, I was so excited to find some gorgeous wildflower fields while I scouted for their session, and they worked out beautifully!  We incorporated some fun props as well, including some maps of their respective homelands.  I just love it when clients are up for bringing something meaningful to use in their session!  Did hearing about their Mexico destination wedding make me momentarily wish I was a wedding photographer?  Yes, but don’t tell!  ;P  Lastly, I just have to say that I am even more grateful that I got the chance to work with this amazing couple because they have been SO kind and patient during my bed rest ordeal.  They have had to wait a very long time to see their images, and I sincerely hope it was worth it!  Thank you so much for having such a great laid-back attitude during the session AND after – y’all are great!  :)

After an initial reschedule during our crazy week of storms, I finally had the chance to meet up with Meagan last week in one of my favorite urban spots!  We were a little worried about the wind, but it ended up being a perfect evening.  Love it when that happens!  :)   Meagan is such an incredibly sweet AND beautiful girl, and like most of my seniors this year, she is very talented!  She sings, acts, and is a soccer star too.  She brought along her mom and a good friend (who also happens to be my baby sister), so needless to say, there was lots of laughing.  I had such a great time finding a bunch of new spots at a “well-used” location, and Meagan had a killer wardrobe and was up for anything so it worked out great!  Thanks for a wonderful evening, and enjoy your sneak peek!  P.S. I want her hair!!!

I had a wonderful time with Kendal and her mom last week on a beautiful fall evening.  During Kendal’s consultation I learned that she wants to go into fashion merchandising, so I was really excited to see what she brought to wear, and she did NOT disappoint.  :)   Some fabulous retailer will be lucky to have her one day!  I really love that she took advantage of switching up her accessories too.  I’m not sure if I got them all in the sneak peek, but we did have some shoe and jewelry changes among her different outfits, which I think is great!  Kendal had some great ideas of her own, including bringing her rain boots so we could end the evening in the lake.  Love it!  Kendal has a gorgeous natural smile and an awesome “serious” face too, hence the huge sneak peek.  I hope it was worth the wait!  :)   Thanks for a great session, and enjoy your sneak peek!

I have so enjoyed working with Chandler and her Mom, and I know they have been anxiously (but patiently) awaiting this sneak peek!  They tell me that they have been following my work for quite some time (I feel honored), and I know they had high hopes for Chandler’s session.  I couldn’t be more pleased with how they came out, and I hope they will feel the same!  :)   At her consultation, Chandler described her style as vintage and really wanted something unique, and I immediately thought of this location.  It may be the last time I shoot out there, so we made sure to make the best of it!  Chandler was such a natural in front of the camera, and her outfits were spot on.  Mom was an excellent assistant too!  :)   Thank you so much for a fabulous session, and enjoy your sneak peek!

Chandler is the last (but certainly not least!) of my 2011 Senior Reps. We met up a few weeks ago on a stifling hot evening. Chandler was looking for a really woodsy feel, and when I stumbled upon this gem of a location I knew it would be perfect! It was nice that we got to stay in the shade, but that also meant we were getting no breeze – I’m amazed that Chandler managed to look so fresh the whole time! :) And can I just say that I would kill to have her hair?!? Oh my, the light was just hitting it so perfectly this evening. I also got to use the vintage suitcases I’ve been stockpiling, and I was really pleased with how they came out. Chandler is an amazing singer and performer, and I LOVE that she brought her “faces” of theater for some fun shots. That just goes to show that you don’t have to be an athlete or play a musical instrument to use a cool prop! I really look forward to working with you this year Chandler, enjoy your sneak peek! :)
